The bleeding obvious

Duke "did not order Diana death" reads the headline on the BBC's superdooper new website. And in other hot news, Gordon Brown "did not think much of Tony Blair," Rupert Murdoch "makes exceedingly large amounts of money," and Pope Benedict XVI "is Catholic."

Perhaps, in order to save this sort of expense in future, someone might ask the Duke for a full list of all the deaths he has ordered?

This could be kept on record, and referred to next time.

I'm afraid the new BBC News site doesn't do it for me. What's with the funereal black armband across the top? Where have the sexy deep red banner and the sophistication gone? The new look is slightly washed out...

I quite like it, it's just the content that's not doing it for me. You still wouldn't like the Daily Express if it was designed by Michelangelo, I presume? Currently the words 'Iraq, 'Sadr' and 'Basra' don't appear anywhere on the front page. The name of a woman who died 11 years ago in well-understood circumstances appears four times.

You missed one, Paul: "Bear moves bowels on forestry commission land".
